Various Thoughts of Boredom

Boredom comes in many shapes and sizes, doesn't it?

Right now, I'm sitting on chairs in waiting area of the Afrims Bubble, waiting for Bob's game to end so that I can catch the ride to my game at the Halfmoon Sportsplex. Sometimes, I think it's strange how near I am to She-Who-I'll-Call-Thalia and I never see her. Siiiigh. I miss my friends.

There's like, seven little girls rushing about playing hide-and-seek. They count by singing “I'm a Barbie Girl.” It's crazy. I mean, crazy. I'm sick of that song and I've only been listening to it about four times. It's actually making me really nostalgic, for when Bob, Fred, Thalia, She-Who-Will-Be-Known-As-Annabeth and various others raced about in Grace Fellowship. I miss those times.

So-o-o-o-o. I'm going to see the Lion King at Proctors this weekend. I'm really excited. My older brothers got to go when I wasn't old enough, but I was old enough to be really jealous and really mad that I wasn't taken along. And then Annabeth got to go lately, on Broadway. Well, now I get to see it. I'm excited. I love the various songs that aren't in the Disney version.

The one Simba sings about night and everything is amazing. And Zazo's song about the morning report is hysterical. “The elephants remember, but just what I can't recall.” “The vultures have a hunch!” There are a lot of funny lines in that song. And I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait to see it! I can't wait! I can't wait!

We're playing a premier level soccer team tonight. They're really good, but if my team doesn't make the stupid mistakes that we make all the time, we have a chance to beat them. I mean, Coach finally shifted our formation from a two-one-two to a two-two-one! Yes! Yes! Yes! Update: We lost 2-5, but seeing as last time we lost 0-7, there was a definite inprovement.

This hasn't had any logical structure to it, besides for which direction my thoughts are going. Which is an incredibly random process. I should find something to write about... like... soccer... or Doctor Who... or Babylon 5... or past times... or Percy Jackson... or bleh...

Nickolodeon is on the TV in this sitting area. Kill me now. >.<

I was thinking earlier today about how much I've changed in the past year or two. I mean, two years ago was my confirmation and now I barely speak with my confirmation mentor beyond the occasional hug. Now all my friends are pretty much cyber. Now I'm trying to survive public school. I actually miss two of my teachers, Global and IED. I am
such a teacher's pet. It's not very healthy. And I'm not going to get into a school rant.

Because ranting is not helpful. I should be... cheerful... and find the good things. Good things about school... um... um... um... well... I can handle people slightly better now. And I suppose I'm slightly better at getting up in the morning, not that that's necessarily a good thing.

“That that.” I think that's one of the few words that you can double and it'll be phonetically correct. Strange. Well, unless you're name is Will and then you can write “Will will...” Let's see, I've got about 500 hundred words so far and probably about another twenty minutes before it's time to go. I would be half-dead without my computer.

My computer's name is Sunset. Sunset O.2 because the original sunset crashed. I was not happy when my computer crashed. Not happy.

“I'm not happy Bob, not happy. Ask me why?”

“Why?”

“Why what? Be specific Bob.”

“Why are you unhappy?”

You're customers make me unhappy. They're experts Bob, experts! Avoiding every loop hole, dodging every obstacle, they're penetrating the bureaucracy!

Is it scary that I know that by heart without even trying? For anyone who doesn't know, that quote is from the Incredibles. Pixar is awesome, ain't it? I mean, the story of the Incredibles isn't so great, but it's, well, so well told. “No capes!” Edna Mode is one of the most hysterical characters in animated movie history. I'm sure there's some one better, but Edna's up there. She's definitely up there.

Pixar is great. I mean, “For the Birds,” is a great little short. “Cloudy,” and the rest of their shorts are also great! I could write pages about those Shorts. A couple of weeks ago, I was watching a special on Disney channel of all the shorts playing and Bob tried to change the channel. I refused. He was not happy. Bob thinks he owns the TV, it's almost hysterical.

Hysterical. I've used that word way to much in this. And I keep typing Bob's real name. I really need to stop this. And, my dad's here, so, I guess it's time to go.

So long, farewell, and thanks for all the fish!

  2. Lion King. *is jealous* *realizes that she really shouldn't be jealous, because she saw it a year ago*

And I know what you mean about nostalgia. I miss the times with Annabeth, Thalia, Bob, and Fred as well. *thinks of Fireflies*
